80 Days To Mt. Kilimanjaro – Parker’s Climb Team Climbs Mt. Monadnock

During our world wind New England trip we visited many places!  We started out in NY for the Michael J. Fox dinner and then headed to Boston to catch up with the rest of the Parker’s Climb team.  Our goal was to continue the training, while catching up with family and finalizing our plans for the upcoming Mt. Kilimanjaro climb in July.

107 Days To Mt. Kilimanjaro – Snows Returning To Mt. Kilimanjaro

As the Parker family of six prepares to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in July, and as we raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, I am happy to read that the mountain is slowly regaining its snow after several years of drought in Eastern Africa, and the effects of climate change across the African continent.

Since four of the Parker’s making this climb (The Northeastern Parker’s) have just endured one of the coldest winters, with record snowfalls and temperatures across Massachusetts and Vermont, this news should not bring too much concern to my little snowbirds.
