We awoke to a sunny Saturday in Sebastian with temperatures in the mid-70′s this morning. It was a balmy warm morning with thick salty air and a pretty strong head wind blowing during our bicycle ride along Indian River Drive. This was the first day on the bicycles since late September so it was a bit of work. Wow, where does time go? This is our first weekend in Sebastian since September and it is the end of November. I tried to recall why we had not been here in two months, then I remembered that we did spend a few days in the Berkshires in September when we climbed Mt. Greylock.

What a great Sunday in Sebastian. Kelley and I were planning to try to go to the beach just before daybreak to see if we could see turtles hatching. Unfortunately we learned that all of the gates to the beach are closed down tight and no one can gain beach access until 7:30 am. None the less – we started out our morning with a two mile walk down the beach and the only turtle we saw today was the turtle statue in the Sebastian water park.

My best friend from high school flew down from Indiana to stay the weekend with me in Sebastian today. We laughed it off, she promised not to tell anyone, and within minutes she told her husband that I already had us lost! So I decided to tell everyone else – before she does!!
Kelley and I have been friends since we were about 14 years old, so our friendship spans across almost 37 years. . . . → Read More: 290 Days To Mt. Kilimanjaro – I Cannot Tell A Lie
